About This Page

This page provides selected sources of statistical data useful for determining the potential (or total sales) in a given industry, such as automotive, steel, beverage, etc.

 
 

Statistical Sources

Standard and Poor's netAdvantage (Industries)

Mergent Horizon (Sectors)

Business Source Complete: select "Industry Profiles" from the right "Browse" menu

Factiva:  select "Companies/Markets" tab from top menu bar, then "Company"

1. In the Free Text Search box, type: "profits or sales"

2. Under "Select Sources and Dow Jones Intelligenct Indexing", click on "Industry".

3. Select the industry of interest by clicking on it. Or a sub-set of that industry by clicking on the +, then the sector (e.g., "+ Energy", then "Fuel Cells")

4. Click on "Run Search" button
